FlightCare takes pride in its safety record and its long-term affiliation with the following organizations.
Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS)
CAMTS is a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to improving quality and safety of the medical transport services. The commission believes that the two highest priorities of the air medical or ground inter-facility transport service are patient care and safety of the transport environment. CAMTS accreditation standards serve as a marker of excellence for federal, state, and local governmental agencies, as well private agencies and to the general public. FlightCare received its official accreditation in 1998 and was the first agency in the region to complete this rigorous process.
Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS)
FlightCare is a member of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), which is an international trade association that represents and advocates on behalf of their members to enhance their ability to deliver quality, safe and effective medical care and medical transportation.
Michigan Association of Air Medical Providers (MAAPS)
FlightCare is also a member of the Michigan Association of Air Medical Providers. The Michigan Association of Air Medical Providers serves as the voice for critical care helicopter and fixed-wing patient transport services in the state of Michigan. The mission of the MAAPS is to provide a forum for the providers of regional critical care helicopter and fixed-wing patient transport services. MAAPS goal is to maximize safe and clinically efficacious delivery of critical care services through formal and informal member information exchanges.
