Paramedic in FlightCare HelicopterFlightCare’s team consists of highly skilled and experienced pilots, flight nurses and flight paramedics. The medical team has years of experience in providing air medical transports as well as individual specialty certifications and utilizes protocols written specifically for the air medical environment. The flight nurses and paramedics team provide emergency and intensive care that exceeds the capabilities normally found on ground-based ambulance units.

Here are our minimum requirements for each flight crew member at FlightCare:

Flight Paramedic

  • At least three years of experience in a high-volume ALS-level program
  • Paramedic Licensure in the State of Michigan
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C)
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Flight Nurse

  • A minimum of three years of critical care and/or emergency department experience 
  • Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Michigan
  • Paramedic Licensure in the State of Michigan
  • Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN)
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
