Flightcare

Pilot Simulation Training is conducted once per year for all of the FlightCare pilots. During simulation, our pilots practice handling emergency procedures that you cannot test in the air including engine failure, fires, hydraulic system failures, electric failure and others.

This training is done utilizing an EC-135 level D full motion simulator. Our air medical provider has an unconditional commitment to safety through education, awareness and vigilance. “The best tool in our toolbox is a well-trained flight team with state-of-the-art equipment. The full motion simulator and training devices are our pledge to continue to raise the safety bar in repetitive simulation that’s difficult to duplicate in the aircraft”, Fred Buttrell, President & CEO of Med-Trans and Air Medical Group Holdings.

FlightCare pilots also undergo quarterly training in the aircraft that focuses on emergency procedures, inadvertent IIMC recovery, NVG training and unusual attitude.
